Hello everyone, it's that time of year! Decorations, and gifts, spending time with the family and singing Christmas carols. Cooking a big feast, and visiting all those relatives you haven't seen since last Christmas!
It's a fun time of year, but it can also be stressful too! It's all too easy to get caught up in the treadmill of running around trying to buy a thousand presents for everyone you know and all their acquaintances too! You can run yourself into a frazzle if you let yourself.
Just remember, that's not what this time of year and this celebration is all about. It's about remembering the year gone by, anticipating the year to come, and knowing that the hours of daylight will only grow for the next six months, the hours of darkness will shrink, and you'll celebrate all this and more with the people you care about the most. That's what Christmas is really about.
In fact, every religion or culture has some form of celebration at this time of year! Be it the Western celebration of Christmas, the Jewish Hanukkah, the Islamic Eid al-Adha, or the Buddhist Bodhi Day, just to name a few. These celebrations all take place right around the time of the longest night, and the beginning of winter. Regardless of what you celebrate or already have celebrated, at this time of year, I wish you a great holidayy.
