Take Action, Stay Away From Indolence
"Indolence is a delightful but distressing state; we must be doing something to be happy." - Mahatma Gandhi
Words of wisdom from a very wise man. When idle I have found that I am never as happy as I am when I'm busy with many valuable things to do. That doesn't mean don't set aside time from play and relaxation, those are important, but those should the the break from the hustle of a busy life, not the everyday state of your life.
I have been idle and indolent myself in the past, and I was usually bored most of the time, frantically finding some game to play to take my mind off of the boredom. Then I found out what I really wanted to be busy doing, and have found my motivation to be busy doing it. Now I couldn't be happier. I haven't gotten to the life I want to live yet, but I know I'm on my way there and will reach it soon.
It doesn't matter what you choose to do, as long as it fits your ethics and is something you are passionate about. Without that passion, you will find yourself fighting indolence every step of the way most likely, at least that's what I've found. My experience is that passion and dreams can completely trample laziness and indolence if you have the courage to take massive actions and go for it, with the persistence to see it through to the end.
Be busy taking massive action and you can overcome indolence, laziness and fear to achieve your goals in life too.
