Yesterday I introduced a video by Steve “The Biznutt” Barnes about the importance of making a decision. If you missed that post, don't worry, you can still check it out here.

Anyhow, without further ado, here's the Biznutt on Consistency:

So, now that you've seen the video, what does that mean for you? Well, it means pick a product line and consistently promote it. It means if you're going to be writing a blog, shooting YouTube videos or posting on social media, do it on a regular, predictable schedule, about similar topics.

If you're all over the place, promoting this company's products this week, and that company's products next week, and a month later yet another company's products, you'll confuse your customers, and look like you're confused about what you're doing. If you post about this and that and everything else, no one knows what the heck you're all about and you'll be left with a lot of confused readers who don't know what to make of you, but certainly that you're inconsistent and don't know what you're doing. It's certain that nobody else will ever be able to figure out what you're doing that way!

If you have a stable set of products that you promote on a regular basis, then people who are looking for those products will eventually figure out that you're someone who can supply them those products. You'll see sales increasing over time and you will become one of the ones that makes it in business.

That's not to day you can't add a new product line in every now and then, if it makes sense, is consistent with your brand and is something you know your existing customers are looking for. In fact, if you know they're looking for it and you know you can supply it, then that's actually good business! You're giving your customers what they need and want. You do that consistently and they'll continue to be your customers for a long time.
