Success and Failure
I'd like to introduce my latest guest blogger as promised earlier, Chris Rondpre.
There is really only one difference between success and failure – that would be consideration, specifically yours.
You can make lots of money, choose whatever you want to be and do. Most of us would consider this to be a successful way to live, including me. However, some mistakes can be far more valuable to you depending on your consideration of these experiences.
Now ask yourself this question: When confronted with mistakes or losses in your business, how do you handle it?
- Dwell on them, feeling shame and regret, and possibly giving up on your dream.
- Forget about what happened and power through.
- Look at what positives can be taken from that experience.
What I mean by that is, do you look over what happened, learn valuable lessons from what took place as something you can use to apply to your business moving forward, thus increasing the likelihood of a prosperous future?
Make sure you answer this question honestly, because this can determine your chances of achieving your dreams.
Now instead of telling you an old cliché such as “I have some good news and some bad news for you,” I will tell you the truth. I have good news for you regardless of how you answered. Let's get down to the brass tacks here.
If you answered “3” then you're currently in great shape, no matter what stage you are at in your business, the potential is great for plenty of growth. When working with us you will make fast progress.
If you answered “2” then things are not as good as they could be, because valuable lessons may slip through your fingers.
If “1” was your response, then you've had little or no potential to this point, because creating and running a successful business results from learning from mistakes, applying those lessons to the present, and looking to and working for futures. That is what creates predictability, which is so important in business.
Now if you answered “1” or “2,” the good news is you don't have to be stuck in that mindset. All you need to do is decide to change your mind and be in the “3” category.
That's the simplicity of it.
